Localyst (“Localyst,” “we,” “us”) is a word-of-mouth discovery platform operated by Cloudburst Studio [legal entity name and address to be confirmed] that helps people track and share the local service providers they trust. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have — including around text messages and phone calls.

Information We Collect

• Account information: name, email address, username, and password.
• Listings you add: a service provider's name, phone number, category, and any notes or photos you include.
• Business profile information: if you claim a business, the phone number, business details, and messages you send or receive through the platform.
• Messages: content of messages sent between users and businesses, including who referred the conversation.
• Usage information: basic technical data (device, browser, IP address) collected automatically to keep the service secure and working properly.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate Localyst — building your list, showing public profiles, and connecting users with businesses.
• To verify ownership of a business profile via a one-time verification code, sent by text message or, as an alternative, a phone call that reads the code aloud.
• To send account and service-related notifications, such as alerting a business owner to a new message or lead.
• To maintain the security and integrity of the platform, including rate-limiting and fraud prevention.
• To improve Localyst based on how the product is used.

SMS & Voice Communications

If you provide a phone number as part of claiming a business, you consent to receive a text message or an automated phone call from Localyst containing a one-time verification code. We do not use your phone number for marketing messages, and we do not sell or share your phone number or SMS opt-in data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Message frequency varies based on your use of the service. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, or get help by replying HELP. See our Terms of Service for the full messaging program terms.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the service providers that help us operate Localyst (for example, our hosting, database, and messaging providers), and only to the extent needed to provide the service, or when required by law.

Data Retention

We retain account and listing information for as long as your account is active. Verification codes are deleted shortly after they expire or are used. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

Your Choices

• Update or delete your account information from your account settings.
• Control whether your list is public.
• Opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP.
• Contact us to request a copy of, or deletion of, your personal information.

Children's Privacy

Localyst is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the “Last updated” date above when we do.
